Q         –          Questions
U         –          yoU are
I           –          Inquisitive and
Z          –          Zealous about!

Well, that’s the best way I could sum up this section for you. As the true origin of the word has ‘puzzled’ the world, it’s best we elucidate its meaning in the form of a short rhyme…

The world sat down and tried to track,
The origin of ‘quiz’ they attempted to crack.
Multiple answers was their only trick,
It’s for you to now take your pick.

A noun to describe a person queer,
It was used for the eccentric peer.
Then came the verb ‘to make fun of’,
To regard mockingly or to scoff.

‘Quiset’ brought it to ‘question’ close,
From here the common chain now grows…
Soon adapted to its usage today,
Zeroed down to the students dismay!

Well, I like the poem. It makes sense but what I do not like is the last word. Why dismay? Quizzing can be fun! Its sad that very few think so!

Anyone can master a subject. I’m not saying it’s easy, but it’s possible. But, do you know of a single person who can boldly claim to know everything?? I think not!

Being a jack of all trades isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be. At least ‘Jack’ can hold serious enough conversations with all the masters and know what he is talking about!

GK Quizzes my friends… that is how you can keep abreast with other areas apart from your main subject.

…So that you can be a jack of all trades as well a master of one!!!
