24x7Guru.com presents Destination NASA Knowledge Challenge 2008. It is a nationwide knowledge assessment program that will discover meritorious students based on 24x7Guru.com's patent-pending application. The Knowledge Challenge program will be conducted in schools across the nation and will be spread over a period of 2 months starting November 27, 2007 and culminating on February 8, 2008.

Who can participate?

The contest is open to all the students of class 6 to 10 and have subscribed to 24X7guru.com.

What preparation would the student need for the contest?

The contest does not require any additional preparation as the students would be assessed based on concepts learnt in their respective class-level syllabus.

How do I enroll my child in this contest?

If you received this form from your child's school, please fill it and send it along with the payment (Cheque / demand Draft) back to the school. If you have received this form from one of our partners, please send it directly to 24x7Guru.com as per the details provided overleaf. On receipt of your payment and duly filled subscription form, you will receive communication of your test center within 10 working days. Your child will be enrolled on 24x7Guru.com's subscription package and will also be entitled to enter into the Destination NASA Contest. The current subscribers of 24x7Guru.com are automatically eligible for the Destination NASA Contest

What if I don't subscribe my child in the 24x7Guru.com online test package and Destination NASA contest?

Your child can still win a prize by simply registering in, through the filled-in form without any payment.

What are the contest details?

Round 1 - Intra School

The Intra School Assessment Round will be held within the listed schools across the nation. For students who are not from these listed schools and yet want to participate, the assessment tests would be conducted at a central location in each of the selected centers. This test will contain 40 multiple choice questions in Science, Math, Reasoning and General Awareness and will be for a duration of 25 minutes.

Round 2 - City Finals

Students who get selected in the Intra School Round will be eligible to participate in the City Final round which will be conducted in central locations in the selected cities. This test will contain 50 multiple choice questions in Science, Math, Reasoning and General Awareness and will be for a duration of 40 minutes.

Round 3 - National Final

Winners from City Final Rounds will contest in the National Final round to be held in a prominent metro city. All the expenses related to travel and stay for the finalist students accompanied by a parent/guardian will be borne by 24x7Guru.com. The National Final test would consist of 50 multiple choice questions in Science, Math, Reasoning and General Awareness and will be for a duration of 40 minutes.

Exam centers

What prizes would the winning students be eligible for?

Overall 130 students will be selected for the National Finals. 10 of these will be adjudicated as National Winners and will eligible for a trip to the NASA facilities in United States of America. Each winning student can be accompanied by a parent and a school representative at 24x7Guru's expense. The other 120 students will receive exciting prizes as below:

Destination to NASA Terms & Conditions

1 The contest is open to all students from class 6 to 10 who are subscribed users of 24x7Guru.com 2 This phase of the contest will run through selected schools in selected cities of India. The selection of these cities and schools will be decided by Learnsmart India Pvt. Ltd. (LSI) & Radio Mirchi and this decision will be final and binding 3 Participants are required to provide complete details of their Name, address, Phone number, age etc. in the prescribed form. Any form with all details not filled in may be liable for rejection. 4 Only one entry per Participant, per category is permitted. Multiple entries will result in disqualification of the Participant without any communication to participants. 5 The completed form is to be placed into the Drop Box as provided in the school. The organizers are not responsible for the forms handed over to any individuals. However, in case of participation outside of the listed schools, the contestants could send a Cheque/DD addressed to Learsmart India Private Ltd / contact the nearest Radio Mirchi Office. 6 Participation to the contest is subject to cheque clearance until 4th January 2008, the last date of processing the entries. 7 By submitting an entry in the contest, the contestant agrees to the terms and conditions of participation. The contestant further affirms expressly that by submitting the entry, he or she is not violating any rights of third parties and that he or she is the author of the entry. 8 The contest is spread over 3 rounds - the Intra School, the City finals and the National Finals. The decisions of LSI. with respect to the contest dates, venues, time, content & eliminations at all levels would be final and not subject to legal recourse. 9 Boarding and lodging for 1 Student & Parent / Guardian for winners of city finals will be provided. All arrangements in this regard will be at the discretion of LSI. 10 Employees of LSI, Entertainment Network (India) Ltd. & its subsidiaries & Unified Council and their family members are not eligible to contest for Destination NASA. If at any stage the above is noticed the student shall be disqualified from the contest Prizes : The National level contestants are eligible to the following :   20 participants would receive desktop computers. 30 - Ipod Nano 30 - Digital camera 40 - G shock wrist watch   11 LSI and ENIL would only assist in the process involved for getting the VISA for the purpose of visiting NASA in May. The responsibility for providing the documentation required, and any travel required for Visa approval from the embassy/ any other empowered office concerned will be the sole responsibility of the winners of the trip to NASA. If for any reason whatsoever, the embassy concerned / any other empowered office rejects the Visa application of the student, thus preventing travel to Nasa, 24x7 & ENIL will not be held responsible. In case the VISA of the student is denied, then the parent/ guardian and the school representative accompanying the winner will not be eligible to travel even if their VISAS are issued. 12 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to assume responsibility for any further actions (like costs) connected with it. This includes, but is not limited to, claims for injuries and damages and loss incurred by persons and/or property in connection with a prize awarded. This also applies to the travel arrangement and accommodations made. 13 Prizes are non-transferable nor can be exchanged/ redeemed for cash or any other non-monetary consideration 14 Contestants expressly consent to the publication of their names, email addresses, and contest entries on the Internet or any other medium. Contestants also expressly consent to their applications being made available to interested third parties for demonstration purposes 15 The decision of LSI and ENIL shall be final in all respects and no communication shall be entertained. 16 All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad 17 LSI reserves the right to change, alter, withdraw or cancel this Contest at any time, without any prior intimation. 18 The Prize is subject to the laws of India and deduction of taxes, levies and other statutory payments shall be as applicable and borne solely by the Winner and paid for by the Winner. The Prize would be delivered/ handed over to the Winner on proper identification and verification and also on providing proof of payment of all applicable taxes and levies
